You have a ton of squads to choose from. Many excellent squads in here. Mine would doubtful be to your liking as we are not 'hard core', but much more easy going so I will not toss my hat into your preverbal  ring. :)

I suggest you look over the squad posts in here and see what they say about themselves. Some are quite serious and can be demanding, which sounds like what you are looking for.

I've played Ww2OL and it's unbelievable on the ground but the air war is cartoonish to say the least and inaccurate. As for not having enough talent in the P-38 that's alright. Long as you have the willingness and determination to fly the Lightning then we can help you here in the 82nd Sgt.

Hey Ssgt.Rose

Stop by the Triple Alliance site and check us out.  http://3alliance.ourforum.ws  We are 3 sister squadrons:  Screaming Devils (attack), Devils Rejects (bomber), and Hades Angels (pursuit).

We are hard core team play and work operations all night long.  We were #1 in base captures last tour with 202 (unless someone I couldn't find had more) and might be what you're looking for, however we fly mostly Luftwaffe.  Some AW vets in here too <S>

Yeah like Falcon23 said the Rolling Thunder are also a group you would probably like.

Good luck with the search!

Main thing I don't like about the air war in WWIIOL is that it's so darn laggy.  I have a pretty rockin' machine and I can't get into a meaningful situation without it getting choppy.  But I guess I'm spoiled being here.  I have not one thrash ever no matter how many cons.

The models are okay in that game, however the physics is way good.  Like sinking in your seat when you throttle up and back up when you throttle down.  Pilot movement inside plane is great too.  I also get more of a sensation of speed and altitude in WWIIOL than I do here.  The tracers are a let down though.  Looks like a flame thrower rather than projectiles.  Kinda arcade-ish.  The cockpits are pathetic.  I wish Aces High could get some of that physics going though.  Top notch.

We just barely formed this squad with four of us currently in it, so we aren't "decent" sized just yet. But, if you've got the patience for high bomber/escort runs into enemy turf, check us out. 91st Bomb Group (H), Bishop, vox 191. Squad website in sig.

As part of a small squad we might be looking for someone like you. We were CMC, Cutthroats in Air Warrior-Boa, Lemur, I can name names!  :)  Our Sister squads were the Sheps and ACCS. As far as squad size, we are light in that dept as of now our 9 active, 2 are commercial pilots, a couple have PC issues and the rest of us meet WED nights, 10PM EST (Rooks) We were Bz in AW. :)  You would be welcome to look us up. Many of us have been together since 1996/1997 and just have fun! We have a Cadet program and that's by invitation only. Check out http://www.cutthroats.com and our theme song    singing..http://www.kkenshome.com/media/yoho.wma  :rofl
