Torp run Do they stay...

Do the torps run even if youve been hit if they dont not very real after all the work setting up a good shot and avoiding aa 88,s 5"ers and anything else they can toss get a good close range shot then BAM your dead well those torps should still run their course even in TBM since you can only drop from 36 miles away otherwise

Torps still run their course (until propellent is exhausted) after you die, however if one ends up being the final 'straw' that kills the CV, you will not see it in your text buffer, since you are already dead.

not so sure about that rip..but yes they do run their course.I fired 4 from a pt and was killed and 30 secs or so later i got 2 ship destroyed messages  
whether both were escort ships though im not sure..i was dead

How about using gunfire (5 and 8 inchers) to detonate torps on their run???? Could add some interest to the gunners especially as the cv's are very delicate.

thanks for info i was miffed the other day when I got 4 point balske shots then got wacked and didnt get any info on what happened be cool if you could bail into water and float for a few moments thanks again GD

Thats not physically possible.  Torpedos run at depths of 15 or 20 feet underwater.  Your shells wouldn't reach them.
