Uh, dunno where you get your sales figures from, but the PS3 is the worst selling console in the U.S.  The Wii is stomping on all of them with the XBox following.  The PS3 does well in Japan, possibly Europe, but total sales have been abysmal as compared to the XBox.

Well you figure xbox 360 was released a whole year earlier than the PS3.  But in comparison, the PS3, while not having sold more copies to date, has sold copies faster in the amount of time.

That chart at the top of that article was created by the person who wrote the article and is not base in reality.  Later in the article, he finally mentions the PS3 has been doing badly, and sources Sony as the source of that information.

The projections are not found in reality either.  They are based on the hope that it will come true, by Sony.  The PS3 was outsold by the PS2 during the last Christmas season.  It was the worst selling console, and as a percentage of sales, it did worse than any console in the history of the Christmas season.

I am not a console fan and I actually owned a PS3, at one time.  I got rid of it.  The controllers for consoles are just hideous to use, for me.  We are considering a Wii though.  Seems there is a better range of software for it.

Well I'm not big on consoles at all, but my wife bought a wii. Mostly to help with getting in better shape.

The Wii Fit package is actually pretty fun, balance games especially can blur the line between fun and workout.
Running a salom course, ski jumping, esp on advanced will push you to your limits.

I would highly recommend getting at least 2 remotes. The nunchucks are gimicky, and are really not that useful for most things I've tried except the boxing.

For all things gaming I'd much rather have a PC where I can change key bindings, settings etc.

But I can see where the Wii does have a place.

I have a PS3, and for me its a glorified Blu-Ray, DVD, and DivX player.  I can't remember the last time I played a game on it, and in fact I regret buying the few that I have (other than Guitar Hero, which I'd keep, even if I haven't played it in a long long time).  I do think the PS3 is worth it just as a Blu-Ray player though.  I in no way regret buying the system (as opposed to the games).

If you're a fairly serious console gamer, the 360 is the way to go.  I'm not but I know a lot of people who are.  Everyone I know that has a Wii says that it gets old real fast (except for GH as previously stated).

As for Windows 7... like Vista I'm in wait-and-see mode.  Having skipped Vista entirely I'm probably more likely to give Windows 7 a chance.  But not if my ability to run my favorite apps is gone or diminished.

I agree the PS3 is a glorified BluRay player.  But a quick note.  If your television is 720p only, a good line doubling DVD player will smoke the PS3 in image quality.

I too am in "wait-n-see" mode.  I almost always wait a year before trying a new Microsoft OS.  Although WIndows 7 is not new (based off of Vista), it is what Vista should have been to begin with.  So my 1 year wait will start after it ships.

Never been much for the bleeding-edge.  There is a reason it is called that.

We have a Wii and Wii Fit.  I love the thing.  I started doing 30 minutes of the Rythm boxing every morning, lost about 25 pounds in roughly three months.  The kids love it too.

I just ordered a Dell Studio 16 with Windows Vista Prem 64 bit on it...I read somewheres that Microshaft will be letting people upgrade if they bought their PC 2 months before the W7 release...I wonder if I'll get a deal like that, even though it'll be 3-4 months before the release.

Most Manufacturers were giving coupons during the Holiday season the Fall of '06 when Vista came out.  Since Retail Vista was delayed to Jan. 30 2007, you could buy a PC say October 2006 and you'd get a coupon for a free Vista upgrade....I mean downgrade.

Hmm...so if things are looking like they were...I might be able to barely squeak it out. I'll be getting W7 regardless, but why not try and get it free.

If Microsoft has a brain anywhere in that company, they will offer all Vista users a free upgrade to Windows 7, just to get Vista off the market.
