FSO - Operation Husky - Frame 1 - 06/05/09


III/JG11 prepares to depart, fielding (14) Bf109G-2's.



With orders to defend V12, the Gruppe climbs into the skies of Sicily.




The enemy spotted below.



One in!
 


Ouch - Hot seat!!



'Canukk' scores his 10th victory.



Followed quickly by his 11th.



'Bino' softens up his 29th victory.



With all the raiders destroyed and no a/c lost to the enemy, JG11 heads back to A11 and initiates Re-arm relays, and climbs back out into the skies over the V12/V13 area.



With nothing over target, the Gruppe is set free to hunt.  All we could find where the endless blue skies and clear waves of the Med.



JG11 returns home to A11.
