Analog Output for Flaps

i fly corsair a lot being that its my squad plane, and flaps are a pain to keep pressing two buttons to raise/lower flaps and for people with two throttle controls, could possibly use the throttle that isn't in use when your flying a single engine plane to use one throttle analog to control flaps?

Lovely idea. I use my slider for FSx, and I'll tell you, it makes flight alot more fun. I don't see why it can't be done, just have it set so that after a certain point, lower flaps x%, and so on...

I'd love to be able to "set" two notches of flaps on an analog control in a way so that my Hog automatically deploys them when the airspeed is sufficient, which is something Corsair pilots during the war ACTUALLY did (F4U and F6F flaps were controlled by springs. If the pilot left the handle down airflow would blow them back up at high enough speeds, and they'd drop again on their own when airspeed fell sufficiently).

wow, i posted something people actually like, ive had this idea for a very long time, but never got to the wishlist.

Same idea as in the F4F with its vacuum-controlled flaps. Pilots would drop the handle all the way to the bottom for when they got in a fight.

Maybe Q & W to a HAT switch?  It'll do the same thing without having to update the software.

Yes but, FLAP's do not work that way.  In essence, we're asking for something for something that doesn't need an analog input.  These aircraft, their RL counterparts, and most modern aircraft DO NOT have "anywhere you want them flaps"  Flaperon's being an exception, however not even they have "free" flaps.  I can think of 1 French modern plane that does, but the name escapes me.

I understand what you're saying, but AH would have to come to each of our homes and install detents in our analog controllers for each bird we fly. Then again, they would also have to install some kind of device to administer G, give us wounds when our pilot is hit, and a device to kill us when we crash.

I'd imagine if this wish is enacted, even if the analog controller is at 35% the flaps would only drop to the notch nearest to that position. It isn't a big request, I'm surprised anyone would have a problem with it.
