Written at the time in a logbook I have of an RCAF Spitfire pilot who was flying Spitfire XIVs with 91 squadron at the time of D-Day. I think his comment is the best I've seen on D-Day that was put down at the moment, not in retrospect.

Grandfather was there, flew in a C47. Dropped the 82nd. Still has his logbook.
