AKNimitz Films Archive
« on: June 08, 2009, 05:11:33 PM »
What ever happened to AKNimitz's film archives the , I believe, "Virtual Training Academy"?   As I understand he had some good ACM & TACTICS used by various
planes submitted by players.   Any1 know ?  Pls point me in the right direction  :)

Just do a Google search for Aces High 1.xx client and  you'll find a few gaming sites that still have it available for download.  Or you can email HTC and still see if they have any of those old AH CD's laying around the office.

Well, The oldest Aces high client I found was 1.11 patch 4 that was a complete download.  Only 1 film played mostly correct.  Others played but is missing the terrian/fields etc..  I need to find a older film viewer.  Oldest film dates back to 9/12/2000 and the newest is 1/25/2002.  The film viewer from this client dates around march 2003.

AH v.1.092  This file is AHII.

AH v.1.08 patch 6  This file is only a patch file, not the complete install

I have that too.  Talked to Doug(pyro) today to see if they had a archive and he said not that old, lol.  He also said I may need 2-3 different versions to go over the spand of films that I have for that era.  The file dates are from 6/6/2000 to 1/25/2002.  2000 yr files will need ver 1.03 and 2001-2002 need 1.08.  1.11 patch 4 that I have works on all of them but with some issues on the old ones.  For ex. planes take off at 5k alt, no terrian, plays somewhat like a slide show and a few other issues. 1/25/2002 file seems to play ok but that is the only 1 with basically no issues except missing terrian.  Pryo told me that the film viewer uses the terrian files to display them in the film.  If the terrian file is not there then no terrian will be shown in the film.

Well, here are the films but if u try to run them, there will be no terrian on most if not all of them.  The oldlest ones may not even play.  GL.

BTW, the oldest working version of AH film viewer I could get my hands on is 1.11 patch 4.

Greetings & Salutations AKDogg   :)

Thx ever so much for ur taking the time & trouble to help me out by researching  the
"AKNimitz Films Archive", u certainly have done a lot.  I'm sorry that the films don't
work on our present film viewer, as far as the AH 1.11.4 downloads, it seems that
it's only a patch  :frown: & hardly achieve anything of note.

Want you to know that I appreciate ur hard work in response to my query    :salute
