I've read that the human eye can't distinguish anything over 30 fps, and that is why it is the default settings for programs such as Fraps.  Could be wrong but it makes sense, as long as it's a solid 30 fps.  Btw, I've also given the Stuka a dive siren in my sound pack.

Not true. I can tell the difference between 30 and 60 Frames per Second. A few times I could also tell the difference between 60 and 75 Frames per Second (This was in a game that didn't require v-sync). No, I do not have 20/20 vision.

IMO  20 fps or less begins to look like it is being rendered on an Etch-A-Sketch.
