Saitek Pro Flight Instrument and switch panels
« on: June 09, 2009, 03:40:38 PM »
I bought the newly release Saitek gauge panels and switch panel for use in a MS FSX training simulator cockpit, but I'd also like to use the LCD gauges in AH.

1)What do I need to do to get them to work with AH using Saitek's SDK?
2)Will they be officially supported by HTC?
3)How about the switch panel?

Skuzzy?....Hitech?...Pyro?....Anyone?.....

I believe the game has to give that information to the LCD gauge. I'm not aware of Aces High doing that or something similar. So in the case that the stick does require the game to supply the information for the gauges, it wouldn't work.

Yes, I know what you were talking about. I simply don't know if Aces High has a system which supplies software such as your Saitek with information on the game's gauges so that your LCD gauge can display it for you.

The game, currently, does not have support for the gauges in that stick system.

Thanks to both of you for the replies.

Den, was not implying anything, sorry if it came across that way, I was just anticipating people asking me what I was talking about.

Skuzzy, As I have bought the whole six pack of them (at a cost of 900 bucks! over 1k when you add in the panel), I would really like to make them work with AH.
My office is just down the road from you guys, (Belt line and 635 in Irving) and would be more than happy to do the work to build the back end if you guys are willing to work with me. Free labor, how can you refuse? Besides, I'm building a new version of my simpit for the 09 convention and would love to have these gauges incorporated.

Not may call Rockdog.  You might want to post the request for support of this product in the "Wishlist" forum.  I have no input as far as development goes.

Thats is the first rev that I brought to the Con last year. I have more pictures at home that I can post. They have come a long way since then, I'll have to get you some recent pics.

Here is an image of the FAA training sim I'm currently working on.

The bottom line is that I can make anything you might want. From a basic desktop panel to fully inclosed pit with electro mechanical gauges. You tell me your budget and what you want and I can build it to order. :aok
