New pilot
« on: June 10, 2009, 10:07:07 AM »
Hey,

I'm new to AH and I'm trying to learn to fly offline at the moment.
So I can get some training done before throwing myself in front of the lions.
Which means I have no full subscription yet.
But am willing to get one if I can find a Squad to play with since I don't enjoy playing an online game alone.

So I was wondering which squads support new players or which squad are a good learning school.

Any info is welcome.

Hi ghostbuster,

The Few have a selection of European Pilots and BarryBD, i'm sure, would appreciate having another Belgique Brother to fly with.   :D

We can teach you everything you need to know about the game but we do excel at dogfighting.

To be more correct, the rest of the squad excel at dogfighting, and I excel at being bait  :D

I'm the worst pilot ingame ya know!!!

It's all unrealistic crap requested by people who want pie in the sky actions performed without an understanding of how things work and who can't grasp reality.

if you are of the luftwaffe persuasion Stampf is your man.  (Not sure how many Europeans he has though)

We of The Few do fly anything in game and are pretty flexible about this as a squad.

However I'd be a liar if i said I didn't enjoy blasting the German Iron out of the virtual sky   :D

I like all planes but have no problem flying a certain plane in squad related missions.

I do like to fly as a squad, so not flying a P51 together with a Spitfire, Messerschmidt and a Yak since that would make no sence...

Nothing like having your friend buzzing around in a 262 while you plod around in your Hurry IIC, cleaning up all the slow BnZ planes. :D

Yep, another Belgian here...

Join the few and receive one hot looking avatar :D :D :D

(and lots of private training sessions from Kazaa (the patient one) or Bruv (the inpatient one))

for real squad flying, join us in the scenario's, who the majority of The Few fly in.

If you want, I can get you "up and running" in Dutch or French if you like.

Should you decide to join, we can hook you up on ventrilo (communicatieprogramma zoals teamspeak), and I can talk you thrue it, even offline if you like.

Check out www.duxford-wing.org or feel free to wing with us sometime to try us out. We welcome newbies and offer training.

We run squad based missions of all types. We have a mixed membership from the US and Euro land but as the squad is British based our squad nights are Sunday and Wednesday from 8pm BST onwards (GMT+1).

We also fly in the FSO's and SEC's if you like historically based missions.
