Not a WWII tank...
"The Sherman M-50 and the Sherman M-51 were modified versions of the M4 Sherman tank that served with the Israel Defense Forces from the mid-1950s to early 1980s. The M-50 was known abroad as the Super Sherman and the M-51 as the Super Sherman or Isherman, however, these names were never used by the Israel Defense Forces."

<S> GrnEagle back.i have just did some research and found out from a gentleman that the Sherman tank was upgrade in the 1940s to the
M-51 SUPER SHERMAN 105MM HOWITZER. some one my friends knowns who was a tanker back in ww2.he is 83 years old.god bless him and still kicking.

now thats a nice tank...what do you think players

The M50 and M51 never saw any service with the US Army.  The M50 and M51 only saw service with the Israel Defense Force from the mid-'50s to the early '80s.  The M51 didn't come into being until the '60s when 180 Sherman tanks received the French 105 mm CN 105 F1 gun, which the IDF designated as the M-51 and the tank also received the designation of M-51.  Both types saw extensive action in the 6 Day War and eventually the M-50s were sold off to the Lebenese Forces, South Lebenese Army and Chile.  The M-51s that were retained by the IDF were converted to engineer vehicles and self-propelled artillery.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but you'll never see these tanks in the game.

i wish we could perhaps have a nother american tank.

I wouldn't mind seeing a heavily perked Pershing or an even more heavily perked Super Pershing.  Would give the US side a tank that can go toe to toe with a Tiger.

Just give us the M4A3 w/ formation option, worked (most of the time) for the US Army... :)

Now if we could get an M4A3E8...  :rock

The picture of the M36 you posted is post-war.  You can tell by the top cover plate on the turret, that was a post-war addition.  M-36 would be a good addition with the 90mm main gun and the M36B1 would probably be an easy addition as this varient of the M36 was a converted M4 Sherman, of which 187 were made.

I'd be happy (someday) with

Chaffee-light tank, good for scouting and would probably be good for running around the backfield looking for drunk-droppers. Not as fast or nimble as an M8, but better gun and armor. Also used in Korea, just in case we ever get Korea scenarios.

Hellcat TD- Fast, light, and great gun. Not much armor though, so it wouldn't be able to stand toe-to-toe with a real tank.

'Easy Eight' Sherman- Best of the series, and is accurate for both WWII and Korea. Best mobility, gun and armor package of any of the mass-produced (ie-not frontline modified) Shermans.

Treize (pronounced 'trays')- because 'Treisprezece' is too long and even harder to pronounce.

Currently America has the aerial monopoly in bombers.
Yeah, all those pesky American Lancasters carpet bombing everything really get me riled!

There was a version with a 105mm howitzer, but not the 105mm gun on the M-51.  It didn't look so drastically different from a regular M4.

Would be good for building/hanger killing with the larger HE shell.  Given a small number of HEAT rounds, it would also be deadly to any tank that got close.

No, its an armored car. Tiny gun and almost no armor.

US tank destroyers won't do anything the Sherman VC does.

M-5 Stuart is an excellent little tank which would be a good proxy for early war armor for those scenario guys.

The M-3 Lee/Grant would be a fun tank and would make for great desert warfare scenarios--especially if a Panzerkampfwagen III (an Ausf. with a  long 5 cm gun) were installed along with it.

Think of ENY perks such tanks would garner for brave users.
