Lost wing Mystery

I was in a F4U-4 and lost a wing and after watching the Film I can not figure out why.........Could someone please explain this mystery to me!

do you think it was a spike in the joystick, because just before it happens the Left wing dips down.

It could be.  That was my first thought as well as it looks like your stick spikes just as you begin your pull out but it's very hard to say for sure just by looking at a film.  Either way with the amount of speed you were carrying and the line you took it was either gonna be massive G-load or eat the water so it may just have been a bad setup.
