In lancs, a high pitch up maneuver while banking is most effective. The slower the airspeed, the tighter you may turn without either drone overshooting and going poof. It takes a bit of practice and watching over your shoulder, but I can get them 180 degrees in 15 or 20 seconds.
After the climb/turn, push the nose back down to your calibrated release speed and altitude, or very close to it, and you're good to go on the next run, without much calibration time.
