One thing I dont understand.
Im watching the part where they "Using simulated machine guns" are engaged in a classic Dogfight.

Ok if they are only using machine guns (simulated). Why are they using their flares?

i could be wrong but I think it has to do with the fact that even though in the sumulation they are using guns "only" in the real world your opponent might still have heat seekers left to use. Soo you train to fight with guns but, get in the habit of dropping flares.

The pilots just want to empty the can to piss off the A/C ground crew

Tell ya what. I'd love to be able to get hold of some of the computer footage they showed of the maneuvers used in the dogfights.
Would make an excellent educational tool for the game.
