Do-335 Pfeil "Arrow"

Is it possible that we might see this a/c?  or is this just a pipe dream?  Yes, know that no offcial records exist of encounters with allied a/c; but there were reports by allied pilots of sightings of this cool beat.  pierre cloisterman (FRA) gave the best sighting report iirc.

Unfortunately, it is a pipe dream. Wasn't operational in squadron strength.

Yeah, why not.

And add the F7F, F8F, the D.H. 103 Hornet and some others.

Perk them very high (262 levels) so they are a seldom sight in the arena.

I'd like to spend my fighter perks on cool and unique rides, not on hotter versions of readily available planes. (262 and 163 being the exception)

I had never heard of this plane, so i looked it up.  I doubt it would be included into Aces high anytime soon because of it's lack of operational history.  Anyway here is a pic:

As Snailman said (paraphrased) there is a lack of documentation as to the Do-335 having reached squadron strength in WWII; only 11 of the single-seat fighter & 2 of the two-seat trainers are known to be completed & delivered before allied forces overran the factory.  The main issue being a lack of German records, as many were destroyed since this was the penultimate German piston fighter design.  There is a record that a Do-335 downed a P-47,  Pierre Cloistemann's encounter, & when a flight of RAF tempests tried to pursue a prototype.  That is about the extent of the AARs for the allies.  Allegedly there are some records of VVS encounters but these are not authenticated.

And yes, this hunk of German Iron is totally double-bagger ugly (much like Denholm's revered He-111).   ;)

not that it matters but 2 trainers were delivered as well
this plane was designed in 1937 but production did not start until early 1944
