HTC has stated that this will never happen.  Simply bad for business.

Bad for business, how so?  It's a little insecure if HTC really thinks that it would cost them customers or that they don't even want to mess with it because of the chance of losing customers.  I don't understand in the least bit, I need somebody to enlighten me.  I can only speak for myself but if I went afk and left my game running and came back an hour later and I was booted, I would simply log back on.  Kind of like, when you leave a room you turn the light off?

i will be honest with you here.  I am not completely sure that I grasp all of HTC's policies and th ethought processes that go into said policies.  That being said, I do recall him responding to a silimilar request a few months ago with a "It's not going to happen".  Something about giving the customer what works, not what they want.  He is almost like the great and powerful OZ, he is not meant to be understood only obeyed!   :lol

I thought the "In Flight" was what affected the eny?

that has been the topic of debate and speculation many times over..

some believe if your in the tower, you do not effect the ENY, others believe if you effect just by being present, regardless of if you are doing anything or not..  I actually have no idea.

a good way to test it though would be to log into EW when there is nobody on in one of the countries, sit in the tower and check the ENY, then jump in a plane and check the ENY and see if it has changed.

Compare the difference in numbers flying and total versus the ENY and you will discover it is based on the Total numbers of a country.

It's logical.  Numbers flying are often much closer than total numbers, hence the reason the OP posted this topic to begin with.  Also, numbers flying vary much more quickly over a wider range than total numbers in the arena.  Six or more people on the same side may all get shot down, auger, or end sortie at the same time versus the same number suddenly logging off.

Bad for business?  Kicking people out of your place of business that have paid to be there just because they aren't doing anything while they are there.  How could that be bad for business?

Just randomly disconnect people from the side with the numbers instead.

In order to be a Tower Queen, does one need to dress for the part?  Are stilletos required?  How about feather boas, are they allowed or do HTC rules preclued them?

I typically wear nothing but a smile, and a 16oz bud light bottle to cover my cash and prizes.

Lets not get off on a tangent this would only affect someone who has left and is logged in for a extended period of time, this amount of time would be whatever that HTC would deem a appropriate, 1-hour two-hours whatever. I have logged in many mornings only to find people that were playing the knight before still logged in but have been away for many hours, I have done this myself  :uhoh I'm not proud of this but I would have no issue with timing out and having to relog because of my extended absence.

The other approach would be to only count active people using the same criteria, if someone is in the tower and hasn't had any activity for a extended period of time, as far as I know if your logged into the game you are counted too your sides numbers flying or not.

The way I see this it would make the ENY value counter a more real time number, kind of a fine tuner.

Two things, but it's simple.   If you fly the La7 and depend on it for kills, either switch arenas or countries.   Booting people to accommodate a person "depending" on the availability is ludicrous.   That person made a CHOICE to fly the plane.  To make up another excuse and deny the simple choice in the first place, is nothing less than ignorant.

You must be mistaken.  You see, in our geschwader, if it doesn't have balkenkreuz, we do not fly it. (except the occasional Stromboli)

This has nothing to do with what I want to fly this has to do with people staying logged in and causing a false ENY value for actual people that are active.
