I agree, but what the whole Whale Wars people are doing is ILLEGAL. Ya, ILLEGAL. I'm sorry, but we shouldn't tolerate organizations who break the law any more than we should tolerate armed robbery or assult. The ALF group was declared an Eco terrorist group, I don't think we should tolerate that kinda crap. If you want to protest, film "inhumane things" that are being "done" to animals then fine by me, but once you board a ship and start throwing things at them then you have just made yourself a criminal in my eyes. I have nothing against PETA, well other than I think they are idiots, but ALF is pretty much a criminal organization.

I just had a look at their website... Looks like Hamas posing with a bunch of puppies and bunny rabbits.

If they break the law, they should always be prosecuted. Fairly, within the constraints of constitutional due process, but prosecuted nonetheless. Lawyers like Bill Kunstler (thankfully dead now) will come out of the woodwork, but if it's done within the system, the media will not be able to play up the oppression aspect to a degree that will sway anyone with a reasonable amount of intelligence..

I honestly think that deep down inside, these people have too little to do and too few real problems to deal with. Otherwise they wouldn't be dressing up in costumes and petting bunny rabbits for the camera.

Anyone have a link to that letter they wrote to Ben and Jerry's telling them they should use mother's milk rather than torture cows for their milk?  That was hilarious.

If you ask me, groups like PETA, ALF, and ELF are just hurting their cause everytime they do something stupid like the whole Obama-fly thing. Oh, have any of you seen that show Whale Wars? It actually films people preforming acts of piracy. Oh my god, I forgot until now, in one episode, the captain of the ship pretended to get shot; he was on the deck of a ship wearing a bullet proof vest, and when he went inside his ship he said "woh, I've been shot" or words to that effect. If you have ever been inside a bullet proof vest and been shot then you will know about it. It still leaves bruises every time you take a bullet. And it couldn't have been more than 75 yds, 100 MAX unless the angle the camera had kinda gives a false impression.

Whale Wars is some great entertainment.  I'm surprised they haven't gotten anyone killed yet.  Watching them trying to launch their kodiaks, the frat boy mentality of throwing crap at whale boats, their "away teams" that don't check in so everyone else thinks they're dead until an hour later when they come back and wonder why everyone is so upset.  The unprofessionalism of everyone other than the helicopter pilot and the second mate is so astounding that its a wonder they've survived this long.

In the last episode, they've gotten themselves trapped by antarctic sea ice... its so bad an Animal Planet camera man shooting the ice deforming the hull in the bottom hold said "screw it I'm out of here" and left his camera rolling on the floor to capture the water rushing in if the hull breaks.  He thought he was going to die there.  I've watched enough Deadliest Catch to know how much toejam they're in, and how stupid the captain of their boat was for putting them in the mess.

I'm just afraid the boat is going to go down one of these seasons, and due to the remoteness, a perfectly good Animal Planet camera crew will be lost at sea.

I respect the animal planet film crews on that boat. If the whale wars people piss off the Japanese enough they might start bringing guns or something, or ram the whale wars boat or something. And a testament to how stupid the whole thing is, is that (if I have watched enought even thought it is only like 30 shows for me) it appears that the crew looses a few members eveytime the go to port :lol! I serisouly think that if they stir up the Japs (not ment to be abusive or anything, just making sure you all know, just tired of writing Japanese all the time) enough then something bad will happen. But at least do some reasearch first; if you are shot with a bullet proof jacket on, you will know about it and will be bruised.

The "Whale Wars" will not end well.  I've said this many times.  Complete ineptitude.  Complete disregard for shipping law.  Complete disregard for crew safety. There will be a ship sinking, and people will die.... either them or a Japanese whaler.  I detest the taking of marine mammals for commercial reasons.  But I can't even close to support those idiots.  Steve Irwin is rolling in his grave, with his name on that ship.

PETA makes me sick. I went on there site once to rant, so i started posting stuff about beef and i immideitly got angry replys. I also mentioned that the human race are in a form, Animals. and a Lion will eat a gazell, yet they said a animal eating another animal is ok, but a human should know better and we can live without meat! I tryed to explain them the Food Pyrimad and that meat is very healthy, but they said its blasphemy.  :huh

I LOVE animals!!!
So much so, that I eat them, wear their skins, and display their magnificent countenance on the walls of my gameroom!!!

I wouldn't place PETA members at that high a value...
They're just fertilizer!!!   :huh

Here's a thought, Why don't the Nipponese whalers hire some Somalian pirates
To deal with the "Irwin".... Now THAT would be comical!!!
Would make for some great TV... LOL!

I still say that someones navy or something shoud intevien, they are engaging in criminol acts (they boreded one of the Jap ships and were taken "hostage" by the Jap crew. At least that is the whoopee sea shepards spin on things. If I had been incharge of that Japanese ship, I would  have headed strait for Japan just to scare them :t. And the Somalians wouldn't "deal" with it, they would steal it and leave the crew in a life raft :D. Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch a guys!!!
