Bail out of a Tank
« on: June 18, 2009, 10:59:19 PM »
I've always wondered why we couldn't hop outa a tank. I don't see why we can't. It's not like it really matters or it would be useful at all, but hell, why not?

Why add code that won't be used?

How do you know it won't be used?

He says himself it wouldn't be useful.  Ignoring that, what would you use it for?

I'd use it to sneak up on a runway and vulch the spawning aircraft.

'why?'

Because it would be possible.

Besides my own escapades, I can't speak for the rest of the community how/if they use it.

Because it is realistic. I think I got the idea when i was sitting on an enemy runway and i wanted to shoot them with my pistol because my turret was out.

Park your tank just in front of the aircraft spawn on the runway.
The resulting collisions should be rewarding, until someone ups a B-25h and cannons you.

Or an MP40, and Panzerfaust w 2shots....?

Hell yes... Love to lay low in the the town and nail a Tank, or M3...

Don't think for an instant that tankers didn't carry plenty of personal
firepower... They did!!!

How about getting out and defending a town?  If you're tracked or disabled, you get out of your vehicle and can use your pistol on the incoming troops.

why not just use your mg?

Again, just use your mg, unless you are facing the wrong way.
