What do you think is the hardest, or toughest, plane to shoot down?
Here is my selection.
1.   Il-2
...

The trick with IL2, other than not giving it even a hint of a shot obviously, is to fly something just as slow as it so that there's no danger of an overshoot.

I landed 3 IL2 kills in a Stuka a couple of weeks back. Took a lot of BB hits to bring them down right enough and I suspect a lot of people got assists on those kills. Was quite amusing though.

Not often you have to face one.  But yes, they are tricky little buggers to hit.

*snip*
P-38 - usually it just loses pieces, smokes different colours from various places, turns into a single engined aircraft with a red cockpit.

Fixed.

I hate how easy it is to get a PW in one of those. :furious

Depends what plane I'm in. I can find planes easier to kill, or harder, say, if I was in a P38 or a 109K, it all depends. Why isnt the 234 on anyones list :)

I usually slow down for people so I can shoot them. :)

1. Il2
2. Typh, Temp
3. P-38

Il2 is a tank with wings, that's all it is.

Typh and Temp I can put a whole lot of rounds into and it'll still be flying. Took have my ammo in my Spit 16 once and then proceeded to fly away back home!

P-38 isn't really too tough, but still tough to being down.

FW190-A5 because its a small target and very slippery in the hands of a good pilot.  Yak 9T/U ranks a close second.
