This is a serious overhaul, wow.

Make sure you go into the advanced settings for all the goodies, or if your running low FPS you can turn the detail way down.

Just got done loading and setting all of my key mapping and joystick settings. The new terrain is awesome and I didn't have too many problems as of yet except a few noticeable items...minor perhaps.

At the initial startup with video settings from the other AH I use I had a significant frame rate drop. On the current AH I am maxed out at 75fps. When I started the beta I was at 11-18fps. Big hit. I turned down anti-aliasing and turned off VSync...then it jumped to 45-62fps. That's acceptable to me anyway. I did notice most of the known problems that Pyro mentioned. I still need to fine tune the video settings. Will set up a profile with the NVidia global setting for the beta. See how that goes.

I tried it out in the offline mode.  No major problems noted that were not already addresed on the intro page.  Love the new, almost photo like graphics except for one thing - you have this beautiful looking scenery, very realistic, then smack in the middle of it a cartoonish looking airfield (same as current version of AH).

First (and only) planes I tried out so far were the Brewster and the I-16.  THe Brewster's cockpit seemed very dark, but other than that were very cool to putt-putt around in.

Loking forward to the full release version!
