Skuzzy help please

[SNIPER30]

 i tryed the new beta version which looks great , but my frame rate went down to 7fps to a max of 18fps with everything disabled in graphic detail .

now in the ahII version we have now i get 55fps to 70fps with all the bells and whistles, if someone could help or recomend a fix i would appriciate it

That's your problem there. Integrated graphics wont cut it on modern games. AH2 pre-beta was really not very intensive from a graphics standpoint. The new version is more on a par with other modern games.

The good news is your computer has a PCI Express x16 Expansion Slot which will allow you to add a stand-alone video card. Your specs otherwise look fine.

My computer has the same graphic set up as yours Sniper...  A few months ago I bought a GeForce 9500GT pretty cheap.  Looks pretty promising that I'll be able to run the new AH, not maxxed out mind you, but smooth and prettier then what we have now.

That said, I replaced my Power Source when I put the new card in also...  So, if you upgrade your video, might want to make sure your machines power is sufficient for whatever card you choose.

GeForce 9800gt will run the Beta maxxed out at 60fps. Not too expensive.

May need a new PS with that card. Check the specs on the 12 volt rail. If your not sure just ask someone will help you out. Just don't go buy Vid card without knowing what PS you need to run that card.
 If your not sure how to change it out Google your friend along with all the help that you can get here. Its not hard to do but may look confusing if it's your first time.
 Ask before you do anything and all should go well.

If its an Hp it is most likely using a 350 to 450watt PSU.  You will have to watch what GPU you upgrade to without also upgrading the PSU, which will also be a dilemma since HP/Compaq, Dell, Gateway use a ton of stuff made specifically for them alone.  Most aftermarket items will not plug in, screw in, or adapt correctly.

He's got a 300-Watt PSU. Agreed with TilDeath. I installed a new PC Power & Cooling 750W PSU into our family's HP Pavilion a1012x, boy was it a nightmare. I had to put it in upside-down before it would fit. And afterward the CD/DVD burner wouldn't fit since it was bumping the rear of the PSU. Not to mention the freak-show of cables that don't fit anywhere (no space for cable-management).
