Great additions.  Both will be fun for a long time to come.  Nuff said.   :aok

I-16 is a real winning groovy tool.  Just gotta get in close with those twin 20MM and give em a quick squirt....job done.  I think we'll see plenty of these in the MA especially around base defence.  Don't forget your drop tanks guys  ;)

The brewster I feel will go the way of the P39 but still fun to drag out from time to time.

Gotta say thanks to the powers to be.....nice additions

I'd say the opposite.  Felt like the Brewster is gonna be the fun one.  I-16 will be fun too, but take more getting used to.

They'll both be fun.  Just watch out for Apercot if you see the one you think sucks.

I've only flown the I16, it was Great.

i think Brewster own l-16 in most cases. I realized that yesteday on the  Beta test online run. I was flying the l-16. and i got shot down by Brewsters many times  :cry.  Brewster has much better turn radious, roll, better balistics and overall is  lighter than l-16.

One great advantage to the I-16 is with the open Cockpit. If you get an oil leak, it doesn't really ruin your view, you can still fly and kill in it, even with oil all ovre the gunsight. AFAIK, its one of the few planes to have this advantage.

I'd have a better chance in running into a Dodo Bird in the middle of rush hour, walking down the I-5 with two hookers in tow before I see a useful post from glock89- Ack-Ack

I-16 I managed to flat spin low speed and flaps  :o

Brewster ...noticed at low speed and crossed controls (rons peds) had an unusual skid effect in that it tuck a few seconds to straighten out.  Felt like a flat spin for a second.  Could be my crappy worn out pedals though  :(

I felt the same at the beginning of the evening until I really got in the brewster and got the 4 .50's going at conv 200 and all my views set up.   Those .50's are quite lethal and all a tight turnin', close fightin' plane like that needs.  It's a great little bird.

WW's thread that baldeagle posted above has some great stuff in there by WW and others.

I like the both of them. Actually I like them a lot more then I thought I would.

Unless Im on a CV I think the 235 will substitute a lot of my FM2, or even Hellcat, time. For base defense I'll be buzzing around in I-16s a lot. The small MGs are actually useful for killing troops, and if your going to be taking a bashing why reward the vulchers with 5 eny kills?

Plus I see visions of Continuation War recreations, or even Pacific ones, that ought to be great.

You people are delusional, both of these planes will become hanger queens and will only see play time for events. A P-40B will not only own both of these but will fly away while taking vitually no noticable damage and when that happens to you, you'll park it and forget about it.
