Viewing new planes in the skin viewer
« on: June 26, 2009, 03:01:28 AM »
You can view the new skins in the current skin viewer. Hit the "browse" button in the viewer and navigate to the stdshape.res file in the beta directory. This will show the new plane shapes in the drop down list. Bear in mind though that Waffle or Superfly may make some minor late changes to these shapes before the new version comes out.

So do you think its okay to start making my I16 skin or should I hold off until the 'real' version comes out?

I'd say make a start, if there are any more changes they will be very minor and should not affect panel lines and basic stuff like that. It is just that it is worth comparing the default skin from the new version when it comes out to this beta version just to make sure nothing else has been added in the meantime.

I can't see anything that needs changing on the I-16 or the Typhoon anyway. However there is what looks like an unskinned white poly on the Brewster.
