What is it about vulching that appeals to those that do it? I thought it was boring and lame; just as I thought it would be. Sure, we were supporting the ground troops but that's not the most fun way to do it. Usually being on the receiving end, I know the frustration and anger it generates. One must really be a pathetic person to regularly take part in vulch fests.
Funny, I guess our definitions of vulching are different. I think letting a plane barely getting wheels up 200 meters from the field is vulching. I mean, it doesn't take much more "skill" to pick a plane off barely wheels up than it does sitting on the runway.
Well my point is "often being the one vulched wheels up or not" is I would rather have the opportunity to be minimuly airborne rather than vulched as I spawn! I'm certainly not condoning pickin guys as they barely leave the field! Both of these circumstances are UBER lame but the reality is this is how AH works and if you want to kill me multiple times just let me get airborne at the so called "base of supression" and I will continue to up and pad your score Then I can call you what you are on 200 <-- that pleases me and you can pad your score under the guise of "base supression! <-- that pleases you You see now everyone is happy
and metal versus metal GV battles.
Since I never vulch, I thought I'd take a couple minutes and see what the attraction is for those that regularly do it. Killed two planes, took the base a little while later. What is it about vulching that appeals to those that do it? I thought it was boring and lame; just as I thought it would be. Sure, we were supporting the ground troops but that's not the most fun way to do it. Usually being on the receiving end, I know the frustration and anger it generates. Are there really serial vulchers? I don't see that much of it. If I'm at a capped field there's usually no uppers anyway. And if my base is capped I'll just go somewhere else, or come in from the next base.I like this premise though. What's next?"HOing = DUMB!" "Bombing & Bailing = Laming""Ramming: Not My Cup of Tea"
I agree with you, my point was simply that sometimes it's a needed to take a base wether it be vulching the runway or vulching barely airborn planes. Besides, I can't vulch you, usually I'm one of the dweebs taking off next to you hopelessly trying to get airborn against the vulchmonkeys.
I think sometimes it's fun to shoot a rocket at the guy trying to take off.
