I was at big bear lake. It was for the ribbon cutting ceremony for the water park.  my dad has been the auditor for the pageant for 25 years.

Perhaps. But WV isn't like Texas, where the men are men, so are the women, and the sheep are nervous.

I take it that is a first hand account?  Or should i say,..right-hand account?

A truth:  Texas is big enough, that if you are looking for the above, you could probably find it.  Then again, why are you looking for it?

The biggest problem Texas faces is the transplants from other states.  I guess there must be a lot of sheep lovers out there.  I have an idea.  Why don't you transplants stay where you are, and we will ship the sheep to you? :)

Afterall, the only use we native Texans have for them is BBQ and nice wool suits.

AHEM!  As I was born in Pasadena, Texas & now live in TN; I feel that I am qualified to speak on the subject of Tx vs. Tn BBQ. 1st point of order: Memphis BBQ is based on the generous application of dry-rub, sauced only at the end of the  cooking & pertains to pork.  Tx BBQ is based on a lite dusting of rub (usually just salt & pepper) with liberal mopping during the cooking process & pertains to beef, especially brisket. (ahhhh, i think i can smell Kreuz's all the way over here!)

so saying Memphis BBQ is better than Central Tx BBQ (and vice versa) is like saying apples are better than oranges; the two are related by inherently different.  However, a person may decidedly prefer one over the other.  Me, I like pork ribs over beef ribs, but I like brisket over pulled pork.

Gawd, now I'm just hungry.....road trip! :x

(lest I forget the OP's point....lucky you  :aok )

I didn't have a choice in the matter. Uncle Sam decided I was needed in Tx, but I left just as soon as I could  :D
