think I will try this 9600 gt low power card. $71.00 from Amazon after rebate

Nvidia has a function that will analyze your system and give you a idea of what improvement you will get. I go from a 1,000 3d mark score to 9,000 score.

If you have onboard video, I'd believe that score.  Though it is synthetic and not actual game frame rates.

old card 8300gs (brand unknown), new card evga 9600 low power

Installed new card today and great results. in normal game had frame rates in 30 to 35 range and now stay around 75.

in beta version with everything on had fr of 4 to 5 now a minimum 40 and usually in 54 to 64 range. I had to cut everything off in the beta with the old card to get in the low 30's and still had issues.

for my new card only problem I had was with the latest drivers I had jagged edges in canopy frame and rear stabilizer edges in normal and beta . After getting some help from EVGA and installing some older drivers they went away in the normal version . However in the beta version the anti aliasing feature would correct the problem. After initial frustration with this am happy for now.

fit perfect in my dell inspiron 530
