virus help
« on: June 29, 2009, 02:19:40 PM »
well i think i have figured out my lag problem, and i think this one is pretty big.Lag not only happens on AH but also on a game that doesn't need internet connection so i found this very odd.my cpu usage goes up and down ALOT from like 0 to 13 to 8 just bounces around and the biggest problem both AVG and kaspersky are down kasp wont take any updates and avg's antivirus is down and out i can update but it wont work i really think that if i can clean it up my games will be fine.ive tried doing scans but the antivirus's arent doing anything and when i tried downloading something from microsoft it wouldnt let me! :huh :O  ANY help would be great....please :salute

You have malware and/or viruses. You're probably sending spam e-mails by thousands as we speak.

Format, reinstall and get a proper AV + firewall.

"Dr. Web's Cure It" is an excellent tool. if you run both that and Malewarebytes in safe mode you should be clean and disease free until you go looking at bad stuff again.

Of course if you have AVG and Kaspersky both installed you may have porked your system all by yourself. You can't have two AV suites installed at the same time they'll fight eachothers to death.
