After 2 years on this comp I'm getting problems now?

I've got a AMD Athlon dual core 64 bit comp that I've used to play AH for a couple years now..just today I've started getting the tinted clip board, when you spawn your screen is going every which way, and the side-clipboard that spins in circles. For however long, I've played AH with Win98 compatibility, but just today I'm geting all these problems...any ideas?

"Screen is going every which way" ?  As in the image is being stretched and overtaking your view?

As in...I start out looking at the sky, then immediately at the ground, then to the left, then to the right...

I am assuming you are using a joystick hat to do the views?  The hat could be going bad.

The hat seems to be working fine...I just tried it in FS2004 and had no issues...I ended up getting in without any problems after some fiddling around with Run As and Compatibility settings...hopefully it fixed it...
