I would lover some costals, it sure would be a nice deterrant to this folks that like to come up next to a field near the shore with the CV and hump it to death all day.

That's what happened to the Arizona's main guns after Pearl Harbor.  They pulled them off and mounted them in pill boxes on the North Shore of Oahu and down on the beach at Wikikii  It might be an interesting addition to ports.  It would give the CV group a reason to stay away
