That Greyhound will be a nice addition to the GV's. Fast and good fire power. Fun!  :D

There were numerous threads about it when the news was, well, new.

Most of them were in the general forum, but I started one in this forum asking about the M8 and how it compares to the M3/M16.

Look about 20 threads below this one.

If the M8 can deal with the defensive guns at a base, a combination of M8s and M3s could form a rapid strike and capture attack.

M8s might also work well as harrasment forces.

If the M8 is capable of disabling a Panzer IV H, then it will work in mainline combat as well.  All you have to do is destroy a track or the engine and then leave.  A disabled Panzer is as good as dead in almost all cases.

If the 7.7mm MG on my Zero can disable a Panzer than I shold the M8 could :)

The M8 will be fun good  for hunting M3's and M16's and it will be fast.

I would of prefered a Puma but Pumas do not have an AA mg if memory serves, the PSW 234/1 had a combanation 20mm 7.9mm turet that could be used in the AA role, but the 37mm gun on the M8 has more punch aganst GV's.
So the M8 was a good choice for an AC.

But they have closed top  ;)
234/1 still has open top.. plug few MG rounds in there.

The above is what the M8 will be good at. You could also send M8's and M16's out in front of a panzer as a fast attack force. The panzer hangs back and picks off targets while the M8's and M16's keep the enemy busy. Have an M16 or Osty stay back and cover the panzer. This could meen we get to use those tank killing aircraft more often and not just as structure levelers.

This sounds like alotta fun! I know next to nothing about ground vehicles (sorta like my knowledge of planes hehe) but it sure is cool seein' the ground aspect slowly get fleshed out. I bet ya could have a bunch of fun whippin' around at 60 mph if ya brought a gunner along with ya. Harrassement indeed.

Of the units announced so far for 1.08 I am most looking forward to the M8.

If it can do some of the things I mentioned above its going to be a fun little toy.

234/2, though, has a mini-Tiger II style turret. :)  And a 50mm.
