Hello Again!! I've come to ask questions! The Macchi in the game, is it historical? Any info on what squadron it served with? Does anyone have any photos of other Macchi paint-jobs (not necessarily from the game)? Thanks.

Yep, it is "historical". C.205s 1st Series were delivered during early 1943. Then there was the 3rd series with 2x20mm and 2x12,7mm. The kite fought till the end of the war. About 250+ were built. Take a look at this nice site:

There is a big error whit AH's C205
a real WW2 205 pilot Com.Vezzani (2 kill P38 and B17 in 205) told me that the real 205 doesn't have WEP, have only Limitation of not sustain max power for more than 15 min.
So all the performance obtained in AH are similar to the real Macchi but shuld be obtained with no WEP.

Fabrika,
AH doesnt model real WEP in all aircraft. Sometimes it models only the maximum allowed time at maximum RPM setting.
For the DB605A of the C.205's it was 2,600rpm (+/- 2%) at 1,30 ATA and about 6,000mt. From this point of view 5 minutes are acceptable.
AH aircraft with a real WEP (some US irons) lack a second level WEP indeed.

Hey that would be cool!

1st hit 'p' (wep) for military power...
2nd hit for a boost system if the plane have it - water injection, boost over ride - whatever.

And both causing overheating.

Now, the big question is: could Yak's pilots drive at maximum rpm settings forever?
