How did you add the resistance..like caused from a spring on a normal gaming joystick?
Presently I only have one source of resistance: the rubber seal at the front of the tube, which makes the stick go forward when released and resists pulls to the rear.
Left/right inputs have no resistance.
The real stick used a bob-weight system to simulate stick forces since hydraulics elimnated all feel.
More g's put more force on the bob-weight.
When the F-4 was parked, the stick could be moved freely to any position and would stay there.
I bought some springs to provide light centering forces for left-right, but have yet to make time to install them.
I actually like the precision and feel of a long throw stick with no centering forces!
