Except tracks aren't controlled by the throttle which is why we will probably never get independent track control.

wrongway

well if HTC was to offer it, I am sure people could make use of one of the "modes"  for this particular function and the throttles ( both ) being pushed forward would provide the forward motion and speed? perhaps? you just wouldn't need your joystick except for firing the guns I would think.......

Well they may be nerds but they are spending their time and resources on something they enjoy doing.  Of course the same thing could be said about people who listen to lady gaga or the jonas brothers.

Love the triple CRT setup there Dawger. Reminds me of the antiquated contraptions we'd come up with at the computer/engineering/physics lab at my high school. Like dual CRTs hooked up to an Atari 800XL...

For GV's a way to set rudder pedals for clutch/brake would work, then use throttle, and joytick for steering,
on Rudder pedals z axis for "clutch" and "toe brakes" for brake pn each track.

I think that would work :aok

I have an actual F-4 Phantom stick (B-8 grip with no handguard plus full stick assembly) and have that uses a Microsoft Precision Pro 2 USB stick to interface with the computer.
I have not tried powering up the real-life stick shaker, but if it works, I am sure I could make it run off of "force-feedback" signals to get its original function to work: stall warning.
All buttons and thumb hat are fully functional, including the nose-gear steering level mounted on the stick shaker box.
This is an older photo that does not show the relays used to interface the stick's button wiring with the joystick board.

A joystick with the trickest pots and a realistic long throw would be impressive.

This probably close to what your thinking about

How did you add the resistance..like caused from a spring on a normal gaming joystick?
