RATTFINK I hope you enjoy your trip to the sunny west coast , get some sun , check out the babes in bikini's , eat some Mexican food and chill . to see some sights check out the web or go see the U.S.S. Midway in San Diego , or Sea World . See a baseball game and watch the Padres play . San Diego Zoo , or go up the Highway a bit to Chino , Ca. and see the Fighter museum its pretty awesome there , and most everything there is in flying condition . But most of all enjoy yourself .

There is a dent in the fan tail of the USS Midway. An A-7 had a ramp strike. There was a video of it from the deck cam, prototypical ramp strike, young pilot came in to high on glide slope, dropped power, added power, dropped again and then hit the deck mid-line of the aircraft. The aft section of the aircraft flew up narrowly missing the bridge, they found the left main mount in the fan-tail. The front half of the A/C slid down the angled deck (trailing lots of flames) rolled on its back and then slid off the angled deck in a ball of fire. They never found the pilot, only his helmet.

Or, you could venture all the way down the Strand and watch the latest "BUD/S" (SEAL) class get PT'd until each student is close to actual death.
