I started out a knight, you know the reason? Well I was about 12, and rook and bishop sounded stupid... So I said that I'll be a knight because they sound cool.

OMG!!! That's it! All the little kids go to knights because it sounds cool. If not knights they go to rooks because really, bishop sounds queer. All the old people realize that the little kids don't want to go bishop so they all meet there (explaining the high numbers) and there you go!

because Bish and Rook have consistently higher numbers (eny 10 is ~50% more players). maybe the question should be why do players want to play for sides which usually have a numbers advantage?

Went to LW blue yesterday while nits had 29 ENY and bish had 15, rooks only had 2 ppl in air.
Sank a CV and  cruiser with B24s and got 49 perks. Even fighting A8s with a 30 ENY value will get you 2-3 perks each in those situations. Even more incentive  is the target rich enviroment :devil
