Would be something to do while we wait for the arenas to open up when they are full

Hilarious.  I've never seen ALL the arenas full.  Just go to another for a little while...you might even have fun until "The" arena has some room.  Who knows, you might even stay for the evening.

Failing this let us gamble perk points on dogfights in the DA

You can almost hear the whines now...

"You fold every time you don't have a super hand."

"You are using a card counting program! Hack!"

"You are filling the tables with shades, just so you can strip the dealer of chips."

And so on, and so on...

(it does sound like a good idea, jokes aside)

How about just make it so you can sell perks on Ebay. 1000 fighter perks for $25 anyone?

The only problem is enabling an economy (perks sold over e.g. ebay) with this.  Otherwise if you keep the games simple enough that it doesnt draw players away from the arenas, it should be an improvement.  Maybe have the lobby also have something like very basic views of ACM playing on the briefing screen.

If we are being serious about it I would say Hitech must not want any way of perks exchanging hands from account to account. Just because we have asked for perk gambling ideas quite a few times and not got any so far. It's probably a good idea also, not to let people have any easier ways to rackup perks. On the other hand, maybe it would reduce the vulching and timid flying in teh arena? Ok, I'm not helping at all, pretend i didnt post.
