I wonder how concealed carry laws would apply to something like that.

To be honest tho, it looks to me more flashy than practical. You could probably just as, if not more quickly, draw from a holster than pop that thing open, and with a lot less risk of malfunction when it fails to open.

It's awesome but I agree that the chance for a malfunction is worrying, that and it's using a glock.  Now if it was perfected and was able to use several different manufacturers might be very cool.  As to the CC laws technically it is still a pistol until you install a sere(don't know on the spelling) then it becomes a SMG.  Reminds me of the radio SMG that the kid had in Robocop 2.  Don't jump on me for that though.

You're allowed to have Glocks in CA?  I thought it was down to the good citizens only being able to carry squirt guns, if and when they had passed the background check, and promised to only fill them with Arrowhead Natural Spring Water. :)
