Searching for prayers
« on: July 15, 2009, 06:32:17 PM »
A few hours ago, one of my friends was involved in an accident involving his Ford truck and a Mustang.  He was thrown from his vehicle and severely hurt.  They airlifted him to The Med (those around the Memphis area know what The Med is...)  I  just learned that he did not survive his injuries.  So, could you please add the Hogue family to your prayer list.  Casey Hogue was the most giving person you could find.  Very dependable, and a great friend.  He was a well-known figure in our high school.  Casey just graduated in May.  So, please pray for the family.

Thanks guys.  The family is devastated.  He JUST graduated in May.  Police say that he was NOT thrown completely through the windshield.  He had turned onto the highway to go home and a car rear-ended him, which threw him into the windshield.  The person that hit him only has a few bumps and bruises and says that after it happened, Casey got out of his truck, walked back the the girl that hit him to make sure she was alright, then collapsed.  He then bled to death in the hospital due to a cut into his jugular.

We all had a brief laugh that led into even more tears.  Casey was a funny guy, and when something bad happened that was on the news or something he would say "That would be my luck..."  Casey will be missed.  His parents, younger brother, and an even younger sister will have a tough time, as they have to drive past the spot where the accident happened every day on their commute to work.  So, please keep praying for this family.

Sorry to hear about your friend. Always bad when a young person loses their life.

By the sounds of it, he wasn't wearing a seatbelt. If I'm mistaken, I'm very sorry. Either way I am praying for his family and friends on their loss. Very, very generous for caring for the other driver before himself, though.  :salute

Very sorry to hear about your friend.  Way too young.  I hurt for his parents as well.  No parent should out live their child.  I wish there was something to say to make it not hurt like it does :(
