AVA 7/15/09-- Open Challenge
« on: July 16, 2009, 02:47:07 PM »
Last night at 9pm EST, JG54 and friends took on the Allied Horde! at one point there were 46 players in the arena(and they said it couldnt be done!).

The 'glorious JG54' and 'heroic SAPPers' clashed over germany. CorkyJr Lost almost as many planes landing on the runway as the Allieds lost the entire night.

JG54 and the Axis side gave the Allieds a great fight last night. There were broken plane parts and dirty sheep everywhere! As the Great Axis fighting machine took on the gallant allied horde, the allies and the axis were pretty evenly matched.

Many many good pilots went down in flames. The Axis defenders destroyed almost as many Allied combatants as the Allies Killed Axis pilots. at one point there was a 8V8, a few minutes later 7 planes were down and the last p-38 was seen running home with a smokey engine.

It was a great night last night, we really had a great time. The truth of the matter was that the sides were very even and the fights were mostly clean and fair. everyone seemed to have fun and the venomous banter was kept to a minimum. it was nice to see karaya, drdea, oldman, slash and so many other in there. it really was a good time and people should tell others about it.

This will become a weekly thing and i hope it helps promote the AVA back to where it was before. Im also working on a rolling war that we want to try so stay tuned for more fun things in the AVA

Thanks for coming last night and <Salute> to all that came and had fun!

I had a lot of fun and if the SAPP and DFC guys make this a weekly event, I think I'll be joining in again.  Might finally get me out of the P-38 for a change.

I'll tell my Raider squadron mates about this, maybe next time there will be a couple of more bare metal 479th P-38s.

It screws up the curve whenever I'm flying.
