what to do with bomber perks?

Bomber perks are used to purchase ords. Not any and all ords...just the 'uber' stuff.
other threads talk about perking the IL2 with the big package....there ya go. Ya want the guns...pay with bomber perks.
the Me109. Gondola guns....it'll cost ya.
lancasters...... grand slam bomb
stuka......bring in the 37mm flaks.....and pay for them

These perks are not returned if you land safely. This ain't the bottle deposit on your beer.

That way, there's also an encouragement for people to up bombers.

Me 109 isn't a bomber. Did you say you lose perks if you land it? So how do you get them back? die?

I know it's not a bomber. But it has extra guns in the gondolas. Your paying for the extra firepower. And this is a straight purchase. Don't get those perks back at all.

Has absolutly no bomb load and no cannons so it poses virtually no threat. Also it is not that great a fighter so unless it has a really high end pilot, it would be easy to shoot down. Most other planes carry bombs or a bomb or atleast a cannon. The P39 has a cannon in the nose. I can't think of any others off the top of my head. Oooh, it also looks like the least threatening in my opinion. Even less then the spits.

Why do people underestimate the Ar234 so much? It may not be a lancstuka but IMO its one hell of a bomber. When I fly LW and I need a CV down I grab a formation of Ar234s. When I see the enemy camping a spawn I bring an Ar234. And lets not forget how fun it is to take one up trolling for fighters.

Dreaming up ways to spend bomber perks, without actually introducing perked bombers worthwhile to spend them on, is just a futile exercise of drowning us in useless rules that only serve to complicate the game.

I have an idea. If you really need to get rid of your bomber perks then just change your name and start at "0" again. Far easier and doesnt weigh the rest of us down with rules.

Or you can model an A-26, a B-29, or both.

I mentioned this before but I would like to have the ability to convert perk across the different types.  I.E.  you can convert fighter perks to bomber perks, vice versa, and any which way.  The key is you pay a conversion factor of maybe 3:1, or whatever.  that way if you have a ton of perks in one catagory you can convert it to another and use them.  Dont know how this will be liked but I rarely use my bomber perks but wish I could convert them to GV or fighter perks.

How about we perk all Heavy Bombers, and leave Medium and Light Bombers unperked? One guy with a fomation of B-24's can take down an entire small field, and with LANC that same guy could pretty much bring down a large field! Just a thought

A set of Ju88s can do that to but its a medium bomber.




IMO anything above 500lbs should be perked, and the perks would not be given back if you land.
