Photobucket help
« on: July 20, 2009, 01:07:57 PM »
Hi guys:

Anyone know how to set-up a file in Photobucket that I can upload my Air Show pictures into.  I want to make them viewable to the public, but I don't want everyone to go through my whole library.  I'm pretty sure there is a way, but I have yet to find it.  Thanks.

I believe you can make a new album in your private album and share it by making it public.

1. Log in... duh :)

2. Locate the Albums panel on the left side of the page. Your username or account name displays as the heading for this panel.

3. Locate the add a new album box below the list of existing sub-albums.

Note: Sub-albums can only be five levels deep within the root album. For example: myalbum> album1 > album2 > album3 > album4 > album5. This limitation does not apply to existing sub-albums that are more than five levels deep.

4. Type the desired sub-album name into the box.

        * Special characters, such as *@'!, etc., are not allowed.
        * Album names must be between 2 and 50 alphanumeric characters. See Naming tips for sub-albums for more information.

5. Click the save button to create the sub-album.

You can also use the album edit link, to the right of the album name in the sub-album panel, to create new sub-albums. See the Creating a Sub-album tutorial for details.

A sub is what you would want in this case.  It is a great way to organize your photobucket account... even a caveman could do it  :aok

No problem Banshee  :)
