I played the original pretty hardcore for a month and got tired of it.  My wife (at the time gf) was obsessed with it.  I even bought her the Sims Online when that came out and boy was that a bust.  The Sims 2 couldn't/can't run on her 5 year old laptop.  And now with #3 out, I dare not get it for her for fear of me losing my PC :D

lol. It's a fun game, but it has a LOT of boring. I mean, I got to the highest rank in the Military track and it started feeling boring. Now that I have kids... it just sucks :(

I would have no idea. I played the original Sims for   bit, but I gave up when my people couldn't hold a job (a ballpark mascot. How the F&*@ can you mess THAT up?!) and burnt down the house when trying to cook.

lol. I haven't played any version for a LONG time, but this one seems much less... interesting. I mean,  the jobs are much less... varied. The Military Track starts with cleaning latrines, then serving the mess, then Grunt, then squad leader, flight officer, wingman, fighter pilot, Top Gun, then Astronaut.

Anyone know where to find a how-to file? I've googled it and gotten nowhere. I want to change the town I live in, but all thats there is Sunset Valley.

I played Sims 1 for a little while and the only fun I had was getting a bunch in a closet and put a barbque in there and watched em burn.

Here is a GREAT review of the SIMS3!

Definitely worth a watch, even if you don't play (or ever want to play) SIMS3!

I know, right? I figured the fastest way to the top was to shack up with my boss! While I made it to the top, I got her pregnant, couldn't marry her, tossed her aside, and when she got pissed at me she got fired while I got a raise and married another chick. I mean, in the long run, I won, but I feel kinda bad for it...

Not if your female boss (now ex-boss) named Vicky looks like Pete Rose with a mullet... I speak from experience...  :noid

btw...

It's now Victor...  :O
