« on: July 25, 2009, 01:08:32 PM »
There a way to get rid of the AI flying around the field? Also how would a guy change the arena to night? Have no experiance setting up the arena. Thanks in advance

There is no way to get the aI to go away...time...I think it's in Options>Arena Setup>Time or something.

Set time and play with the sky, fog, and light settings for night under options>arena setup>environment>arena settings. You can get really dark (having trouble seeing a plane 200 yards in front of you dark :D )

As long as we're talking offline arena setup, is it possible to turn off the aa guns or at least the tracers from the aa on the field.  It's hard to practice w/ the whirblewind as my tracers are mixed in with the field guns.

thanks,

Note that those are the exact same settings the CMs have at their disposal. It helps to understand the mechanics behind an event.

Just as an FYI, if you load one of the offline practice missions, then you don't have the 4 enemy's circling over the fields. Plus the AI on the enemys you will see are much better practice than the 4 drones.

Personally I recommend Baumer's missions as they are tough, fun, have a wide variety of planes to choose from.

You can also just take off, then change the field ownership, and the guns will stop shooting.
