like i said it auto downloaded when i was done it showed this

when it got done autodownloading, did you follow thru with the installation of the Update patch?

if not, or if you accidently closed it out after the autodownload..go to your HTC/Aces High II/ folder and double click the AH2131TO2141.EXE  file to install it.......

also post your DXDIAG info (1st 1/3rd of it ) here so HTC can check it out......maybe find the problem

    DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0b (4.09.0000.0902)

this seems to be quiet an old version of Direct X.........  the current version is DirectX 9.0c

not sure if that would cause the problem or not........

might be worth it, to download the current DirectX version from here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=9226a611-62fe-4f61-aba1-914185249413&displaylang=en

might be worth it, to download the complete game from here:
http://downloads1.hitechcreations.com/AH2141.EXE

install them both, with DirectX 9.0c being installed 1st........

then the 2.141 version of the game......... seems your updated install is corrupt......although I am not 100% positive.....

you did not list the DXDIAG part right below what you posted here, that showed your video card.btw  which is also important to know.....

EDIT: the Compaq Presario 061, came in many different variations/Builds from AMD chips to Intel Chips being used.....and from low end Video(on board) or low in Video Adapters (AGP Slot ) like listed below..........upwards to higher end stuff of the time it was built.......

Compaq Presario 061 videocard example:
Name: S3 Graphics ProSavageDDR
Chip type: S3 ProsavageDDR
DAC Type: S3 SDAC
Approx. Total Memory: 32.0

not knowing what type of videocard you are using, noone can make a definite determination of what problems you might be experiencing or offer a correct fix to them......

Your computer is running with Windows XP Service Pack 1.  You need to spend some time at the Windows Update center.  At least install Service Pack 2 and DirectX 9.0c.
