New Base Layout??

I was wondering if they are here to stay or just being tested? Map specific? Etc.........

For example the new vbases are a barren wasteland with no flora lol.

I don't mind either way just wondering what the official status is..

Layout looks the same...just different details.  Like missing forests, vehicle paths to ack batteries, etc.

I love the new bases. They look like they were built into the terrain rather than an overlay. More realistic.

definately agree jocko.  That is one of the key features of the new terrain i like.  The bases before stood out like a sore thumb and something tells me this wouldn't have been the case in WW2.  Give it awhile and then do a before and after comparison  ain't no going back.

The trees map room side on a Vbase being removed sucks a little  the only salvation for landing a commando goon.

Yes, I like it too, But a forest of these new trees around V bases, more realistic, not like row trees from a paper mill, but scattered and thick enough to hide behind. Makes it hard as hell to shoot a fast GV from ground or air.  :x

Well its not FRG., (Federal Republic of Germany).  Any grunt worth his salt will remember walking in some of their pristine forest.  As you walk along you all of a suddenly notice that they line up real purdy.  Takes most of the effort out of clearing fields of fire. Shot Over.  Nice job guys.

I agree, they look better.
Thanks to my low end laptop, On minimum settings, (No eye candy at all!) the terrain, trees and sand has a more pacific look to it.
I guess i grew tired of the Mid-France look, the new terrains at bases look much more Wake island-ish. :D

I like the v bases just as they are.  The point isn't supposed to be to hide.  It's supposed to be to fight.
