Enough About Beta and quitting
« on: July 30, 2009, 02:24:21 PM »
I have read numerous posting and I have to kind of agree with both sides. Right now like many I am getting the stutterring effect but for those who are having this problem. Back when AH1 to went AHII we had the same problem. Within two months if I remember correctly there were alot of patches and the problems smoothed out. No need for everyone to quit because of the issues that are being had. They will be fixed in time but we have to give HT some time to get it put together and put out the right patches when they are needed. Within a month things will probably back where HT meant them to be. Also send an email to hiTech, Pyro, or list here in the forum someone will be able to help you solve the problem. Have some patience things will get better.

Now for those who keep bringing up the beta. Well I would like for some of you who seem to think that if you didnt try to the beta need to remember a couple of things. 1) not all of us have alot of time to sit in front of a computer(I know I dont I am leaving the Air Force after 12 years of military due to medically issues.) so our free time we want to spend with squad mates and sit back and enjoy the game 2)Some of us just dont want to put the effort in because we dont have the patience for it 3)for anyone who has played online games, regardless of the amount of beta testing done some bugs slip through and some bugs dont pop up because they dont come about unless there is a serious drain on the server.

Last but not least there are some other factors that need to be added in. Within the last year I would say alot of internet providers are putting caps on the amount of bandwidth that you can use and this will affect your gaming experience. Those who keep saying just pay a new part or a new computer. Well how about this you either buy the part for me or you can pay the downpayment on a house and deposits that are needed for power and water or you can let my wife rip your head off instead of mine for buying something like that. Considering the economy sucks right now many of us are not willing to invest in a new computer when most dont know if they will have a job tomorrow and therefore are saving money so they dont lose there house or car and not willing to spend money on a computer.

But once again give HT some time and most things will be worked out.

For HT not to impressed with the product that has been put out but willing to give it sometime to get things working the way they should be to make the game as playable as we can get it. Like many having alot of stuttering issues and the graphics dont look so good. They tend to look like a giant chess board but once again this is just the first patch with these new addings to it and I know they need to be refine. Keep up the good work and even though dont look so good right now thanks for atleast putting the effort into it and look forward to the refines product.

If HT is willing to suspend charging me until the problems are resolved, sure I'll wait till the ozone depletes, otherwise I'm voting on the necessity of this version by walking away with my wallet.

Great quote. If HTC had followed this maxime, we would still play AH1...

need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the
WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.
