Internet Explorer won't connect
«

What would cause I.E. to hang onto a "connecting" screen without connecting to anything? At work we use both Firefox (which is fine) and I.E.
A fresh download of I.E. 8 didn't resolve the problem.
Any ideas? Thanks

That happens to me on occasion too. Mostly here on the AH BBs. Eventually it will connect otherwise it will give you the connection problem screen from which you can just hit the refresh button.

There doesn't seem to be any correlation between IE and AH BBS. I'll I get is a half loaded screen that says "connecting".

Check to make sure that something didn't mess with the "Proxy" settings under connection. I've run across what you describe before after clearing malware from my son's system - FF browsed fine but IE was set to "use a proxy".
