Well go AFK but don't whine if you get shot down while your gone. It's only a game, is one more death really going to depress you that much ??

During the Longbow (aka Longbutt) series scenario of AirWarrior, many guys used a some kind of bucket/bottle next to their computer. That scenario was the longest running event I've ever seen...

We don't need an AFK flag, we just need bigger bladders (or less coffee/beer).

If that's what AFK means, then I should just paint that on my plane.

I remember that! Was a blast. First and only time there was ever a need to load 100% gas in B17...running battle for2-3 hours

I'm about to lose this dogfight, let me escape a certain death by pressing my AFK button.

As far as an "afk" button. I think we have enough gamey devices already, no thanks. I can just see it as being used as a crutch for the fragile egos out there, I agree with Kazaa, thats exactly how it would be used.

Its a game, if you get zapped while being afk, have a laugh and move on, and stop taking at all so seriously.

That would require a "TIME OUT" button.   :rofl

This is not some boxed game that you can pause.

This is a real time, online, massive multiplayer.

No pausing.

If you have to walk away, hit alt F4 and don't worry about it.
