range for gv's
« on: August 01, 2009, 08:36:24 PM »
If you notice gv's never run out of fuel. I would like a new feature to be put in to allow gv's to run out of gas. It doesent seem as realistic if you could drive forever right?????
Would seem my only decent plane

How far/how long do you suppose you would have to drive before you ran out of gas versus how far/how long you actually live before you die?

Doesn't really seem to be necessary, does it?

Let's do an example calculation: the operational range of a T34 is 250 mi and its top speed is 33 mph.  That's 7 hours and 35 minutes of driving before running out of gas.  I would hazard a guess that not one single person in AH has ever stayed in the same tank for over 7 hours.  Even at 2X fuel utilization who has ever driven the same tank for over 3.5 hours?

True, but if killing the fuel dumps at a base reduced you to 1/4fuel in gv?
I'm too hung over to fiddle with #'s this morning, so?
Somewhere around 20mins?
