I noticed 2 things yesterday.  1) the saw blade effect. 2) Host queue time was very gappy.   In fact I rebooted my cable and PC several times.  The saw blade showed up once but the host queue was intermitent.  Climb out and fighting.

I knew there was something up when I blasted a con.  There were no hit sprites and the con just pixalated into nowhere.  This caused me to check net stats and noticed this very gappy host queue.  It was after I logged out / in I noticed the saw blade whilst in tower.

Did several restarts and thought maybe it's my ISP or some poxy hop screwing up.   I'll monitor my connect this evening and get back to you.

Forgot to mention I tuck some screenies of this.

To be frank I ain't a clue if this is important when your asking about saw blades.  It just seemed odd to have the larg gaps which after a while would go normal and then revert back to gaps minutes later.

I made a point of watching the net stats again tonight with pretty much the same deal.  Gonna run a different sweeper to see if it makes a difference.

No frame loss I dont think. Looking back on the screen shots I did not have frame rates up so I am not for sure

Ok..I have an ISP spy / anti virus sweeper that runs every morning.  Only looks at the more harmfull stuff.  Ran a windows optimizer that picked up 1 class 3 cookie.  Ran Ad-Aware SE that picked up 19 class 3 cookies and 3 MRU's.

System cleaned and cleared.  Restarted the cable and PC.  Read the boards then joined the game.  Went to net stats

Logged out / in and saw blade had gone but host queue very gappy.  Jumped in manned ack a couple of times and queue eventually went normal.  Flew a few sorties and queue once again went gappy to normal to gappy.  Asked a squadie about his and was told "gappy" with a few variance down spikes.

Unplugged the power supply from me cable over night so's all the nasties would, if any, drain away back to the server.   :lol  There's no on / off switch.

Restarted cable and PC.  Read the boards and entered game.  Got the saw blades so logged out / in.  Same thing...saw blade.  did some tower hoping and checked again.  Saw blade gone but host queue very gappy.  Monitored it for a few sorties with the same effect as previously reported.  bad to good to bad etc.

I had the same problem but much worse, I have to unplug my modem for 2 min., plug back in, everytime prior to playing, for me this just started Sat. night while I was in the DA. Don't know if this will help you all, but it has for me.

Also, thank everyone who posted helpful suggestions about the new patch, its been a trying experience, but day by day working things out!

thanks

I had the same issues, got discoed 5x in the last 2 days. I hadn't gotten discoed but 2x in the last 4 years before now. I think I have fixed my problem today, I un installed the drivers for my ethernet card and re-installed them making sure I had the latest and greatest one. So far, no disco and no "saw-tooth" delays in the net status. Hope that can resolve at least some of everyones network issues.
